As we approach September 11 (tomorrow), I wanted to dedicate this blog post to those who lost their lives when the World Trade Center was attacked. As I have thought about this more, I have realized how fortunate we are to be breathing. We don't deserve the life that we have been given. In fact, the Bible says that the wages of sin is death. So why do we take life for granted? We only have one, short life. Some people say that there is no point in living if you are only going to die. Others say that life is to short to be wasted telling people about God. However, we need to have a different perspective on it all. Here is part of a song by Natalie Grant...
Only one life to live
Only one love to give
Only one life, only one love
So make it, make it matter
The people in the World Trade Center didn't know that it was there last day, do you think that they would have put more effort into there life if they knew that it was so short? Us as humans and children of God need to realize that while we might be taking up time telling others about Him, it will ultimately further his kingdom. So what do you say? Will you gain today and lose eternity, or will you take the chance to set the world on fire.
