Psalm 69

I read this week during my devotions and really fell in love with it.  David really pours out his heart and begs for God to rescue him.  This really fit what I was going through.  Saturday, I felt like I couldn't feel God, and that I was just going through the motions.  But then, when I read this, I was encouraged to keep marching on.  Although I really like verses 1-19 (and really encourage you to look at them), my favorite part was verses 29-33:
29 But as for me, afflicted and in pain—
may your salvation, God, protect me.
30 I will praise God’s name in song
    and glorify him with thanksgiving.
31 This will please the Lord more than an ox,
more than a bull with its horns and hooves.
32 The poor will see and be glad—
you who seek God, may your hearts live!
33 The Lord hears the needy
and does not despise his captive people
I realized that the Lord does hear me, and that He does care, and even though we have hard times finding God, He will still use us to set the world on fire.
